Expert Meeting on Multimodal AI
The 5th Expert Group Meeting was about Multimodal AI. Lukas Tuggener from the Centre of Artificial Intelligence (CAI) at ZHAW gave an introductory presentation on the topic and the group subsequently discussed various aspects such as the pros and cons of early and late modality fusion as well as possible applications, for example in security and climate change research. One outcome of the meeting was that CAI will organise a series of lectures by experts on Multimodal AI, for example from Google’s Deep Mind.
